Shock Setup and Maintenance Guide

Thank you for Purchasing from Protech Shocks. We appreciate you supporting British Manufacturing. Our Dampers are Hand-built in our Wiltshire Factory. We hope you are happy with them.

DAMPENING ADJUSTMENT

The damper utilises a 14-position adjuster providing a varied range of resistance.

We recommend starting at 5-clicks for most riders/drivers

Too Soft? Adjust clockwise 1-click

Too Hard? Adjust Anti-clockwise 1-click

SETUP GUIDE

When adjusting the Spring Preload, one complete turn of the spring seat equals 2.5mm spring preload. The Spring should never be uncaptive at full damper extension. Please ensure Spring has preload at all times.

RUNNING IN PERIOD

Within the damper the seals and guides will require a short running-in period. You may find it necessary to alter the dampening after 100-200 miles.

MAINTANENCE

Dependant on enviroment, We advise customers to always clean our dampers regularly using a high quality maintanence spray. This ensures all moving components are free of dirt, i.e. damping adjusters, chrome rod, spring seat. In doing this, it dramatically increases the longevity of the damper, especially when operating in dusty, or dirty enviroments.
